All our tours are held in small groups to ensure a high standard of quality. However, for special needs such as the presence of newborns, pets, or for greater flexibility of schedules, we recommend booking a private tour.

If you choose a Private Tour, you can request to organize it according to your schedules and needs. The guide and the vehicle are reserved (no car shering), so you will not share your experience with other participants. The Private Tour will have an additional cost of € 100.00 for each vehicle and guide requested.

You can bring pets except "Etna Summit" and Tours with Trekking. However, we recommend to choose in this case the option Private tour, avoiding the risk that your
pet may not be liked by other participants within the same vehicle, for
example in the presence of allergic people.
In our vehicles, the use of the transport is mandatory during the movements.
The presence of your 4-legged friend must be notified in advance during booking
of the Tour.

No Tour includes insurance. We recommend that you activate a daily insurance yourself. 

All our tours are also suitable for families with children except Tours with Trekking suitable for children from 12 years and "Etna Summit Craters" suitable for children from 5 years of age, for reasons related to altitude and atmospheric pressure.

The paths and roads covered during the Tours, are those marked and official of the Park, so exploring Etna with children is possible and does not constitute any risk.

In the presence of families with children, the guide will customize and adapt the Tour with illustrations, experiments and engagement activities suitable for children.

It is possible to request at the time of booking, a baby seat included in the rate.

For children 4-12 years there is also a discount of 30%, free for children 0-3 years (see the details in the card of each Tour). 

Absolutely. Our Tours are also required for gatherings, reunions and/or corporate events. We will organize your experience according to your needs, with pick up and drop off at your hotel relying on the transfer that best suits your request. Based on the size of the group, we will determine both the number of guides and the discount to be applied on the fare. 

Each Tour has a departure and arrival time listed in the appropriate tabs. Schedules must always be respected, otherwise a penalty will be applied for delays. Guides often perform multiple tours on the same day, so it is common sense to follow the rules to avoid time shifts in a possible Tour after yours. 

Different is the case of a Private Tour (read "What is a Private Tour")

However, departure and arrival times may change due to technical reasons, traffic and force majeure. In case of time changes for reasons not dependent on ETNA ROVER there is no refund. 

If the conditions are not prohibitive, the tours are carried out without any difficulty.

In case of adverse weather conditions such as to prevent the normal course of the tour or in case of snow and/or ice on the roads, the Tour may be cancelled or made at lower altitudes. ETNA ROVER reserves the right to cancel, modify or postpone the Tour for safety reasons.

If, however, the cancellation will take place after the itinerary has already begun, for reasons not dependent on ETNA ROVER or due to adverse weather conditions not foreseen, it will not be possible to request a refund. 

In all itineraries there are alternating movements in vehicles and short walks suitable for everyone as long as each participant is in good physical health (no cardiopathic due to altitude). 

Each Tour has its own data sheet where other details are given such as the maximum altitude reached and the type of itinerary, whether by vehicles or on foot. 

It is required instead greater physical capacity for those explorations that have a higher level of difficulty and include the Trekking.

In the appropriate tab of each Tour you will find a section dedicated to this.

Etna is also a mountain as well as being the highest active volcano in Europe, and weather conditions can be unpredictable or change suddenly. For this reason, we recommend that you always wear (even in the hottest season) a layered clothing with long trousers, windproof jacket, k-way, sweatshirt, hat, gloves and scarf to always carry in your backpack. Use comfortable shoes closed better if trekking if the tour includes trekking.

Possibility of renting trekking shoes, jackets and equipment suitable for high altitude for "Etna Summit Craters".

Each tour includes a bottle of water for each participant and a tasting of local products, but does not include other drinks and lunch. This is why we recommend bringing snacks/fruit, lunch (depending on your expected arrival time) and enough water. 

We also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen (especially in summer), mosquito spray and hiking poles. 

Absolutely yes, excluding people who currently are not in good physical health, especially cardiopathic and asthmatic subjects because of the altitude and possible emission of gas (for "Etna Summit Craters").

The trek is suitable for children aged 12 and over. "Etna Lava Tubes" and "Etna Summit Craters" suitable for children aged 5 and over, for reasons related to altitude, atmospheric pressure and the level of difficulty.
